Bo has confirmed that the Halloween Special is non-canonical but “emotionally adjacent.” Choices made in the special do not carry over to the main v0.6.2 campaign. Think of it as a what-if nightmare the protagonist might have had. However, the update does include a handful of bug fixes and performance tweaks for the core game.

• Stability: Fixed the memory leak that occurred when the player backtracked through Floor 4 more than three times.
• UI: The "Fear Meter" now has a small bat icon in the corner. When the meter is full, the bat’s eyes glow red.
• Physics: Pumpkins now have realistic rolling physics. You can kick them down the concrete stairwells to distract the Grey Walker.
