Method A: The Legacy Port (Stable for older devices)

1. Download the APK: Go to the official StepMania GitHub (search "stepmania android 5.0.12 release") or a trusted mirror like Zenius -I- vanisher. Download the .apk file.
2. Enable Unknown Sources: Go to Settings → Security → Install unknown apps → Allow your browser/file manager.
3. Install: Open the APK. If Android warns it was built for an older version, tap "Install anyway."
4. Grant Storage Permission: After launching, it will ask for file access. This is where many fail. On Android 11+, you must navigate to Settings → Apps → StepMania → Permissions → Files → "Allow management of all files." Otherwise, the game cannot see your songs.
5. Initial Setup: The app will create folders in Internal Storage/stepmania/. You will not see a fancy UI out of the box.
