Secrets Of Power Alexander The Great Walkthrough Upd ◎ | BEST |
Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power is a hidden object puzzle adventure (HOPA) where you play as a descendant of Alexander the Great tasked with collecting ancient artifacts—his crown, dagger, and ring—to save the world. Core Gameplay Mechanics
Walkthrough:
- Turn 1-3: Move your phalanx into a defensive line on the hill (east side). Do not chase the skirmishers.
- Turn 4: Use Alexander’s “Inspire” ability on the left flank. Most guides say to save this for later – wrong. Using it early grants a permanent +1 morale to all units for the rest of the campaign.
- The Secret: When the Thracian champion appears (a giant unit with a falx), surround him but do not attack. Kill every other unit first. Once he is alone, use Alexander to duel him. You will unlock the “Merciful Victor” trait, which halves recruitment costs for mercenaries later.
Chapter 1: The Prophecy of Siwa
Objective: Escape Pella Palace and consult the Oracle. secrets of power alexander the great walkthrough upd
- The "Favor of the Gods" Meter: Hidden from plain view, this meter tracks your piety. Visiting temples, sparing defeated generals, and completing side quests for oracles increases it. At 80%+ favor, you unlock a secret cutscene and the Thunder Spear (best weapon in the game).
- Companion Cavalry Loyalty: Your elite unit has a hidden loyalty score. If you charge them into spearmen more than three times in a single battle, they will rout permanently. Updated tip: Use save-scumming here; reload if a Companion takes more than 2 hits.
- The Supply Line Bug (UPD Fix): In the original version, your supply wagons would glitch after the Battle of Issus. The updated community patch (v1.04) fixes this, but you must manually send a scout to the coastal tile east of Issus before turn 20. Do not ignore this.
- Use the Key on the door leading to the catacombs/underground.
- Descend the stairs.
- Puzzle: The Mirror Puzzle. You must adjust mirrors to direct a beam of light to a specific point.
- Solution: Rotate the mirrors so the light bounces from the source, off the walls, and hits the door lock.
- Proceed through the door.
