samsung n7100 root file 4.4.2 download

To root a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the most common method uses CF-Auto-Root and Odin. Required Downloads

  1. Press and hold Volume Down + Power for about 10 seconds until the screen goes black.
  2. Immediately release those buttons and press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power.
  3. Keep holding until the TWRP screen appears. If you see the Samsung boot logo looping, you missed it – repeat the process.

However, finding a safe, working root file for Samsung N7100 Android 4.4.2 has become difficult. Official links are dead, and many websites push malware. This guide provides verified, clean files and step-by-step instructions.

Start the Rooting Process: Click on the Start button in Odin. The rooting process will begin, and you'll see a progress bar on your device and in Odin.

on 4.4.2 remains a viable way to extend the life of this legacy device, though it comes with modern trade-offs.

  • Go to XDA Developers → Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) → Original Android Development
  • Look for the CF-Auto-Root thread (still archived there)
  • The download is typically hosted on AndroidFileHost or Chainfire’s servers

Rooting gives you administrative privileges. On a device this old, the benefits are enormous:

Odin can only communicate with your phone when it is in Download Mode. Power off your Galaxy Note 2 completely.

  • Hi Sandy,

I’ve come across some clients where this policy doesn’t seem to work. I’ve checked the registry keys and confirmed that the values are set as expected.

Client logs indicate that that the device is on a metred connection, when in reality it isn’t, it thinks it is on metered because there’s also a 4G connection – but that’s not being used.

The only way I could get the clients to talk again is by turning off the cellular connection. Is there any way to work around this?

    Thank you.
