Palera1n Install Windows
Installing on Windows is a bit unique because the tool does not run natively
- Semi-tethered: You can boot your device normally into stock iOS, but tweaks won’t work. To get jailbreak functionality back, you must run palera1n from your computer (no app on-device).
- No fully untethered option exists for iOS 15+ due to SIP changes.

- Always back up before proceeding.

- Understand that jailbreaks may break Apple services like Apple Pay, and OTA updates may remove jailbreak or brick device.
How to attempt it:
- Enable WSL: Open PowerShell as Admin →
wsl --install
- Install Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store.
- Install
usbipd-win from GitHub (this allows USB forwarding to WSL).
- Attach your iPhone to WSL using
usbipd wsl attach --busid <busid>
- Follow the Linux installation steps for palera1n.
- Or follow repository README to run the tool (e.g.,
python3 palera1n.py or provided binary).
- ❌ Driver Complexity: Requires manual driver replacement (libusb), which can be scary for non-tech-savvy users.
- ❌ Command Line Only: No GUI means a higher learning curve.
- ❌ Windows Defender Issues: Frequently flagged as a virus; requires disabling security features temporarily.
- ❌ Limited Device Support: Only A8–A11 devices. If you have an iPhone 11 or newer, this tool is useless to you.
