Why Update the Software?

Step 1: Check Your Current Version

1. Turn on the Soundbar.
2. Press the Function button on the remote or unit repeatedly until the display reads "USB".
3. Press and hold the (i) button (or the Info button) on the remote for a few seconds.
4. The display will show the current software version. Note this down.

Note: The NB4540 does not support OTA (Over-the-Air) updates via Wi-Fi. It has no built-in internet. You must use USB or the LG Audio Channel app (iOS/Android) over Bluetooth—which is slower and riskier. Turn on the Soundbar

Common Problems & Solutions

1. Turn on the LG TV and Soundbar.
2. Go to TV Settings > Sound > Sound Out.
3. Select LG Sound Sync (Optical/HDMI ARC).
4. Look for an option for Device Management or Software Update within that menu.
