Kerio Control: Web Filter Not Activated & Categorization Disabled

Issue Overview

When managing web traffic filtering in Kerio Control, you may encounter the following status indicators:

Database Updates: Ensure that your Kerio Control's web filter database is up to date. An outdated database might lead to incorrect categorization or failure to block/allow sites as intended. Kerio Control: Web Filter Not Activated & Categorization

The service will re-download category data from GFI (may take 5–15 minutes). Go to Configuration → Licenses

1. Check Web Filter License Status

• Go to Configuration → Licenses.
• Confirm Web Filter is listed as Active and not expired.
• If missing, purchase or re-apply your license key.
