7. Tips for a New Player (v230)
- Don't buy Automatic. Even if you struggle with the gears, learning Manual is essential. The automatic transmission in this game shifts inefficiently, costing you precious speed on exits.
- Unlock the NSX or Evo IX first. If you want the easiest time, focus on unlocking these two via Story Mode. They will help you win Ghost Battles to earn points for your main car.
- Learn the "Full Tune" Path: Once you pick a car, you want to max out its power quickly. Focus your points on Power and Handling equally; don't neglect one for the other.
- Check the Dashboard: When selecting a track, the dashboard screen tells you the difficulty (stars) and the recommended car type.
- Wall Penalty: Do not scrape walls. In Zero, wall contact drains your speed bar significantly. It is better to brake and take the corner clean than to slam the wall at full speed.

S-Tier (The Kings)
- Honda NSX (NC1) [New in v230]: The latest addition. It dominates technical courses due to incredible grip and acceleration. It is currently one of the strongest cars in the game.
- Lancer Evolution Series (especially IX & X): The Evos are kings of acceleration. On courses with few sharp corners or long straights (like Nagao or Tsuchisaka), they are nearly unbeatable.
- GR Supra (Jaza90): A post-launch DLC car added to the roster. High top speed and stability make it a favorite on higher speed tracks.
- S-Tier (New): Toyota GR86 (Newly added in v230) – Incredible grip on exit.
- S-Tier (Old): Lancer Evo IX – Nerfed slightly. The 4WD understeer is more pronounced.
- A-Tier (Rising): Honda S2000 (AP1) – The high-RPM powerband no longer glitches out on Usui.
