Important Prerequisites & Warnings

Before beginning, please note the following critical points regarding the S100i controller: HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID

Step 4: Install Windows

  1. The drives attached to the S100i will now appear in the list.
  2. Select the drive/partition you created during the pre-boot configuration (F10) and proceed with the standard Windows installation.
  1. Boot the Server: Power on the ProLiant Gen10 server and press F10 during POST to enter Intelligent Provisioning.
  2. Perform Maintenance: Navigate to the Perform Maintenance menu.
  3. Install OS: Select Install OS.
  4. Media Selection: Insert the Windows Server 2022 ISO or media. Intelligent Provisioning will scan the hardware.
  5. Driver Injection: The IP engine will automatically detect the S100i controller and inject the necessary storage drivers into the Windows installer environment.
  6. Installation: Proceed through the Windows Setup wizard. The logical drives configured in the S100i RAID Array Configuration Utility (ORCA) will now be visible as installation targets.
