To get the character in Lovely Craft Piston Trap (LCPT), you must perform the Halloween Dark Ritual added in the v.0.2.999 update.

The pistons will extend, blocking Malo's escape routes.

At the trap entry, create a 1×1 chamber 2 blocks high.
Place a sticky piston at the far wall facing inward with a slab 1 block above piston head level to reduce mob headspace to 1 block when extended.
Add a second regular piston above or below as needed to push mobs into the kill spot. Use observers for fast pulses if mob needs to be suffocated or moved rapidly.
