This is the v1.0 file containing the original mission text and unedited dialogue. Mod Compatibility:
- a specific text entry named "HIT" or containing the word "hit",
- an exclusive build/release variant (rare/unofficial),
- a subtitle/marketing term used on a site or forum.
2. The Lore Hunters
Hardcore fans believe that the “exclusive” entries reference characters and locations scrapped after the 2004 “Hot Coffee” controversy. For instance, an entry labeled EXCL_DAT E_CRASH is speculated to be cut dialogue for a mission involving the corrupt cop, Eddie Pulaski, before his story was truncated. Having the unaltered original file is like having a developer’s diary.
