Emergency 20 Mods (LIMITED ⇒)

Emergency 20 (EM20) serves as an anniversary edition that bundles content from Emergency 5, 2016, and 2017

EM ONE: Focuses on technical optimizations and quality-of-life features. It includes options for "Fog of Fire" (randomized visibility), faster transport times for prisoners and medical patients, and requirements for drivers to be present before a vehicle can move. Emergency 20 Mods

11. Realistic Fatigue System

Vanilla paramedics and police can work for 24 hours straight without a break. This mod introduces fatigue. After 4-5 incidents, a unit must return to base for 90 seconds to "rest." If you ignore fatigue, decision-making slows down (simulated delays). This forces you to rotate units actively. Emergency 20 (EM20) serves as an anniversary edition

19. Realistic Siren Pack (Warning: Loud)

Replaces the generic European sirens with authentic Wail, Yelp, and Phaser tones from major US and German cities. Also adds distinct horn blasts and air-horns. The police radio chatter is replaced with actual scanner recordings (lightly edited).

Implementation steps (for organizations)

  1. Assess critical assets and likely failure modes.
  2. Select a prioritized set of 5–10 mods matching mission needs.
  3. Standardize mounting/power/data interfaces across assets.
  4. Procure or fabricate modular kits with clear labeling.
  5. Train staff in 1–2 hour hands-on sessions and quick reference cards.
  6. Run quarterly deployment drills and update kits after each use.
  7. Record lessons and integrate into emergency plans and inventories.
