Counter-Strike 1.5 (released in 2002) was the final major retail version before the move to the Steam-exclusive CS 1.6. Its map list is a mix of all-time classics and experimental layouts that defined the era. Core Map List & Review
- de_dust: The most iconic map in FPS history. Long A, Underpass, and the "terrorist sniper nest."
- de_dust2: The refined successor to Dust. Features A Long, B Tunnels, and Mid. Still the gold standard today.
- de_aztec: Known for its water sounds, bridge (CT side), and double doors. Highly sniper-friendly.
- de_inferno: The original layout featuring long, narrow corridors and the famous "Banana" path.
- de_nuke: A vertical map featuring the rafters (upper site) and the underground bomb site.
- de_train: A map defined by ladders and hiding spots underneath trains.
- de_cbble: A large, sniper-heavy map favored by Counter-Terrorists due to long sightlines.
- de_prodigy: A tech-themed map with hallways and a sloped entrance to the bomb sites.
