The beauty of Batocera on 32-bit hardware is that it breathes new life into otherwise useless PCs. A 32GB drive costs less than a pizza, and the software is free. So dig out that old Dell Latitude from 2006, follow this guide, and enjoy thousands of retro games on your "new" retro console.
To ensure a smooth experience on older hardware, your PC should meet these criteria: Processor: 32-bit x86 processor. Minimum 1GB; 2GB is recommended for better performance.
Low RAM Optimization: It can run on as little as 1GB of RAM, though 2GB is recommended for better stability across more demanding cores.
Recommended Size: A 32 GB drive is highly recommended. While 16 GB is the absolute minimum, 32 GB allows for full functionality, including automatic updates and room for a decent ROM library.
